01 "An Act relating to electronic possession of certain licenses, tags, and identification                                 
02 cards issued by the Department of Fish and Game; and providing for an effective date."                                  
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 16.05 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                  
05 Sec. 16.05.348. Possession of license, tag, or identification card in                                                 
06 electronic form. (a) A person required to have a license, tag, or identification card                                 
07 listed in (b) of this section in actual possession under this chapter may possess the                                   
08 license, tag, or identification card in a paper or electronic form approved by the                                      
09       department.                                                                                                       
10            (b)  This section applies to a                                                                               
11                 (1)  sport fishing, hunting, or trapping license issued under                                           
12       AS 16.05.330 - 16.05.430;                                                                                         
13                 (2)  waterfowl conservation tag issued under AS 16.05.340(a)(17);                                       
14                 (3)  king salmon tag issued under AS 16.05.340(a)(23) or (24); and                                      
01                 (4)  sport fishing, hunting, or trapping identification card issued under                               
02       AS 16.05.400.                                                                                                     
03    * Sec. 2. This Act takes effect July 1, 2018.
