01 "An Act relating to a bond or cash deposit required for an oil or gas business; relating                                
02 to claims against an oil and gas business; and providing for an effective date."                                        
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section                          
05 to read:                                                                                                                
06 SUSPENDING OPERATION OF AS 43.70.025 AND 43.70.028. The operation of                                                    
07 AS 43.70.025 and 43.70.028 is suspended until January 1, 2019. Under AS 01.10.100(a), the                               
08 suspension of AS 43.70.028 by this Act, unless otherwise required by law, releases or                                   
09 extinguishes any penalty, forfeiture, or liability incurred or right accruing or accrued under                          
10 AS 43.70.028 before the effective date of this Act.                                                                     
11    * Sec. 2. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
