01 "An Act relating to the licensure of nail technicians; and providing for an effective                                   
02 date."                                                                                                                  
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 08.13.030 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                           
05 (d)  The board may not require that an applicant for a license or renewal of a                                          
06 license to practice manicuring complete 250 hours of instruction in manicuring from a                                   
07 school of manicuring under AS 08.13.080(a)(4) if the applicant holds a valid license to                                 
08       practice manicuring that was issued on or before December 31, 2015.                                               
09    * Sec. 2. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
