01 "An Act relating to civil in rem forfeiture actions; and providing for an effective date."                              
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 09.55 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                  
04                      Article 10. Civil in rem Forfeiture.                                                             
05            Sec. 09.55.700. In rem civil forfeiture actions abolished. Common law civil                                
06       in rem forfeiture actions are abolished.                                                                          
07    * Sec. 2. This Act takes effect July 1, 2016.
