01 Suspending Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature,                            
02 concerning Senate Joint Resolution No. 16, expressing support for the Arctic Economic                                   
03 Council and the United States Arctic Economic Council delegation; requesting that the United                            
04 States Congress express support for the Arctic Economic Council, for the chair of the Arctic                            
05 Economic Council to be a resident of this state, and for the structure of the Arctic Economic                           
06 Council leadership to mirror the rotation of the chair of the Arctic Council; and urging the                            
07 United States Congress to empower residents of the state as partners in the Arctic Economic

10 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                             
11      That under Rules 49(a) and 54, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, the                                  
12 provisions of Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State                                      
13 Legislature, regarding changes to the title of a bill, are suspended in consideration of Senate                         
14 Joint Resolution No. 16, expressing support for the Arctic Economic Council and the United                              
15 States Arctic Economic Council delegation; requesting that the United States Congress                                   
01 express support for the Arctic Economic Council, for the chair of the Arctic Economic                                   
02 Council to be a resident of this state, and for the structure of the Arctic Economic Council                            
03 leadership to mirror the rotation of the chair of the Arctic Council; and urging the United                             
04 States Congress to empower residents of the state as partners in the Arctic Economic Council.
