01 "An Act prohibiting the importation of, sale of, purchase of, or release into the water of                              
02 the state of certain invasive aquatic plant species."                                                                   
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 03.05 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                  
05            Sec. 03.05.028. Invasive aquatic plant species. A person may not import into                               
06       the state, sell, offer to sell, purchase, or offer to purchase, Elodea canadensis in the                          
07       state, or release live Elodea canadensis into the water of the state.
