01 "An Act requiring that all information in a declaration of candidacy, letter of intent, or                              
02 nominating petition for a candidate for elective state executive and state and national                                 
03 legislative office is open to public inspection."                                                                       
04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
05    * Section 1. AS 15.25.030 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                           
06            (d)  A declaration of candidacy is a public record, and all statements required                              
07       to be included in the declaration of candidacy under this section are open to public                              
08       inspection.                                                                                                       
09    * Sec. 2. AS 15.25.105 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                              
10            (d)  A letter of intent is a public record, and all statements required to be                                
11       included in the letter of intent under this section are open to public inspection.                                
12    * Sec. 3. AS 15.25.180 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                              
13            (d)  A petition is a public record, and all statements required to be included in                            
14       the petition under this section are open to public inspection.
