01 "An Act relating to certain solicitations for veterans."                                                                
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 45.68.050 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                           
04            (b)  A person may not solicit funds or property on behalf of a veteran or a                                  
05       veterans association, organization, or charity and use the funds or property for a                                
06       purpose other than as represented in the solicitation.                                                            
07    * Sec. 2. AS 45.68.100 is amended to read:                                                                         
08            Sec. 45.68.100. Criminal penalty. A person who                                                             
09                 (1)  solicits contributions for a charitable organization for compensation                          
10       without complying with the registration requirements of AS 45.68.010 is guilty of a                               
11       class A misdemeanor;                                                                                          
12                 (2)  violates AS 45.68.050(b) is guilty of a class A misdemeanor.
