01 "An Act relating to immunity of persons who provide surveillance videos to law                                          
02 enforcement agencies for law enforcement purposes."                                                                     
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 09.65 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                  
05            Sec. 09.65.340. Civil liability for providing surveillance video to law                                    
06       enforcement. A person who conducts, as a security measure, video surveillance of the                            
07       person's property is not liable for civil damages if the person, without a search                                 
08       warrant, allows a law enforcement officer to view that video or provides a copy of the                            
09       video to a law enforcement officer if the law enforcement officer requests the video to                           
10       assist with a criminal prosecution or to determine if a crime has been committed.
