01 "An Act increasing the base student allocation for public schools; and providing for an                                 
02 effective date."                                                                                                        
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 14.17.470, as amended by sec. 9, ch. 9, SLA 2008, is repealed and                                  
05 reenacted to read:                                                                                                      
06            Sec. 14.17.470. Base student allocation. The base student allocation is                                    
07       $5,680.                                                                                                           
08    * Sec. 2. AS 14.17.470, as amended by sec. 10, ch. 9, SLA 2008, is repealed and reenacted                        
09 to read:                                                                                                                
10            Sec. 14.17.470. Base student allocation. The base student allocation is                                    
11       $5,780.                                                                                                           
12    * Sec. 3. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to                          
13 read:                                                                                                                   
14       RETROACTIVITY. If sec. 1 of this Act takes effect after July 1, 2009, it is retroactive                           
01 to July 1, 2009.                                                                                                        
02    * Sec. 4. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
