01 "An Act extending the termination date of the Alaska regional economic assistance                                       
02 program; extending the termination date for the authority of the Commercial Fisheries                                   
03 Entry Commission to maintain a vessel-based limited entry fisheries system for the                                      
04 weathervane scallop and Bering Sea hair crab fisheries; providing for an effective date                                 
05 by amending the effective date under sec. 28, ch. 137, SLA 2002; and providing for an                                   
06 effective date."                                                                                                        
07 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
08    * Section 1. Section 2, ch. 43, SLA 2000, as amended by sec. 1, ch. 110, SLA 2003, and                             
09 sec. 1, ch. 51, SLA 2005, is amended to read:                                                                           
10            Sec. 2. AS 44.33.895 is repealed July 1, 2013 [2008].                                                    
11    * Sec. 2. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to                          
12 read:                                                                                                                   
13       RETROACTIVITY. If sec. 1 of this Act takes effect on or after July 1, 2008, it is                                 
14 retroactive to July 1, 2008.                                                                                            
15    * Sec. 3. Section 28, ch. 137, SLA 2002, is amended to read:                                                       
01            Sec. 28. Sections 5, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, and 27 of this Act take effect                              
02       December 30, 2018 [2008].                                                                                     
03    * Sec. 4. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
