00 SENATE BILL NO. 206 01 "An Act repealing the Alaska children's trust; and providing for an effective date." 02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 03  * Section 1. AS 18.50.225(d), 18.50.272(e); AS 28.10.181(t), 28.10.421(d)(14); 04 AS 37.05.146(c)(20); AS 37.14.200, 37.14.210, 37.14.220, 37.14.225, 37.14.230, 37.14.240, 05 37.14.250, 37.14.260, and 37.14.270 are repealed. 06  * Sec. 2. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to 07 read: 08 TRANSITION. The unencumbered balance of funds held in the Alaska children's trust 09 (AS 37.14.200) revert to the general fund on the effective date of this Act. 10  * Sec. 3. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to 11 read: 12 CONTINGENT EFFECT. This Act is contingent on passage by the Second Regular 13 Session of the Twenty-Fifth Alaska State Legislature and enactment into law of a bill 14 appropriating an amount equal to the unencumbered balance of the funds described in sec. 2 15 of this Act as a grant to The Alaska Community Foundation, a nonprofit organization, for 01 community activities and programs. 02  * Sec. 4. If, under sec. 3 of this Act, this Act takes effect, it takes effect on the effective date 03 of the appropriation bill described in sec. 3 of this Act.
