01 "An Act making a special appropriation for a state match of federal funds for the Low                                   
02 Income Heating and Energy Assistance Program; and providing for an effective date."                                     
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  The sum of $8,800,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the                                   
05 Department of Health and Social Services for a state match of federal funds for the Low                                 
06 Income Heating and Energy Assistance Program established under the authority granted in                                 
07 AS 47.05.050 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2008.                                                                  
08    * Sec. 2.  This Act takes effect July 1, 2007.
