01 "An Act increasing the penalty for failure to report child abuse or neglect."                                           
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 47.17.068 is amended to read:                                                                     
04            Sec. 47.17.068.  Penalty for failure to report.  A person who fails to comply                              
05       with the provisions of AS 47.17.020 or 47.17.023 and who knew or should have                                      
06       known that the circumstances gave rise to the need for a report, is guilty of a class A                       
07       [CLASS B] misdemeanor.
