01 "An Act relating to special license plates for the Free and Accepted Masons and the                                     
02 Knights of Columbus."                                                                                                   
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 28.10.181 is amended by adding new subsections to read:                                           
05            (x)  Special request Free and Accepted Masons of Alaska plates. Upon                                         
06       application by the owner of a motor vehicle, the department may design and issue                                  
07       registration plates representing the Free and Accepted Masons of Alaska. The                                      
08       department may disapprove the issuance of registration plates under this subsection                               
09       when the requested plates are a duplication of an existing registration.                                          
10            (y)  Special request Knights of Columbus plates. Upon application by the                                     
11       owner of a motor vehicle, the department may design and issue registration plates                                 
12       representing the Knights of Columbus. The department may disapprove the issuance                                  
13       of registration plates under this subsection when the requested plates are a duplication                          
14       of an existing registration.
