01 "An Act making appropriations to fund the teachers' retirement system liability account                                 
02 and the public employees' retirement system liability account; and providing for an                                     
03 effective date."                                                                                                        
04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
05    * Section 1. The sum of $400,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the                                  
06 retirement benefit liability account (AS 37.10.200) for funding of the teachers' retirement                             
07 system past service liabilities.                                                                                        
08    * Sec. 2. The sum of $38,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the retirement                           
09 benefit liability account (AS 37.10.200) for funding of the public employees' retirement                                
10 system past service liabilities.                                                                                        
11    * Sec. 3. This Act takes effect only if the Twenty-Fourth Alaska Legislature passes a                              
12 version of an Act that establishes a retirement benefit liability account to pay past service                           
13 liabilities of the public employees' retirement system and the teachers' retirement system, and                         
14 the Act becomes law.                                                                                                    
01    * Sec. 4. If, under sec. 3 of this Act, this Act takes effect, it takes effect on the later of the                 
02 effective date of the Act described in that section or July 1, 2006.
