01 "An Act prohibiting certain businesses from selling bottled water."                                                     
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 45.45 is amended by adding a new section to article 11 to read:                                   
04            Sec. 45.45.940.   Water bottling business prohibited.  (a)  A person may not                               
05       engage in the business of selling bottled water if the person receives funding from the                           
06       state for the operation of the business or uses property that belongs to the state in the                         
07       operation of the business.                                                                                        
08            (b)  A person who violates (a) of this section is liable to the state for a civil                            
09       penalty of $1,000 for each violation.
