01 "An Act requiring the Alaska Public Offices Commission to accept documents by                                           
02 nonelectronic means, and specifying the manner of preparing the forms that are                                          
03 provided by the commission."                                                                                            
04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
05    * Section 1.  AS 15.13.040(m) is amended to read:                                                                  
06            (m)  The [UPON REQUEST OF THE] commission may request that [,] the                                   
07       information required under this chapter [SHALL] be submitted electronically but                               
08       shall accept any information required under this chapter that is typed in clear                               
09       and legible black typeface or hand-printed in dark ink on paper in a format                                   
10       approved by the commission or on forms provided by the commission and that is                                 
11       filed with the commission.                                                                                    
12    * Sec. 2.  AS 15.13.040 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                             
13            (o)  The commission shall print the forms to be provided under this chapter so                               
14       that the front and back of each page have the same orientation when the page is rotated                           
01       on the vertical axis of the page.                                                                               
02    * Sec. 3.  AS 24.60.200(b) is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                          
03            (b)  The [UPON REQUEST OF THE] Alaska Public Offices Commission                                          
04       may request [,] the information required under AS 24.60.200 - 24.60.260 to [SHALL]                        
05       be submitted electronically but shall accept any information required under                                   
06       AS 24.60.200 - 24.60.260 that is typed in clear and legible black typeface or hand-                           
07       printed in dark ink on paper in a format approved by the commission or on                                     
08       forms provided by the commission and that is filed with the commission.  The                                
09       commission shall print the forms provided under this section so that the front                                
10       and back of each page have the same orientation when the page is rotated on the                               
11       vertical axis of the page.                                                                                    
12    * Sec. 4.  AS 39.50.050(a) is amended to read:                                                                     
13            (a)  The Alaska Public Offices Commission created under AS 15.13.020(a)                                      
14       shall administer the provisions of this chapter.  The commission shall prepare and                                
15       keep available for distribution standardized forms on which the reports required by                               
16       this chapter shall be filed.  The commission shall print the forms provided under                             
17       this section so that the front and back of each page have the same orientation                                
18       when the page is rotated on the vertical axis of the page.  The [UPON REQUEST
