01 "An Act prohibiting certain shipments of alcoholic beverages and requiring a                                            
02 determination of residency before shipping alcoholic beverages."                                                        
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 04.11.150(h) is amended to read:                                                                  
05            (h)  A package store licensee, agent, or employee may not                                                    
06                 (1)  divide or combine shipments of alcoholic beverages so as to                                    
07       circumvent the limitation imposed under (g) of this section; or                                               
08                 (2)  ship alcoholic beverages to a purchaser who resides in an area                                 
09       that has prohibited the importation or possession of alcoholic beverages under                                
10       AS 04.11.491(a)(4) or (5), or (b)(3) or (4); before shipping alcoholic beverages, the                         
11       licensee, agent, or employee shall determine the residency of the purchaser; for                              
12       purposes of this paragraph, "residency" means a person's principal place of                                   
13       abode at which the person intends to remain indefinitely and to make a home.
