01 "An Act relating to renewal of a driver's license by applicants 25 years of age or                                      
02 younger; and providing for an effective date."                                                                          
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 28.15.101(c) is amended to read:                                                                  
05            (c)  A driver's license may be renewed by mail if the licensee complies with (a)                             
06       of this section, except that a license may not be renewed by mail if                                              
07                 (1)  the most recent renewal of the applicant's license was by mail; or                                 
08                 (2)  the applicant is                                                                                   
09                      (A)  69 years of age or older on the expiration date of the                                    
10            driver's license being renewed; or                                                                       
11                      (B)  25 years of age or younger on the expiration of the                                       
12            driver's license being renewed.                                                                          
13    * Sec. 2.  This Act takes effect October 1, 2004.
