01 "An Act extending the termination date of the Board of Parole; and providing for an                                     
02 effective date."                                                                                                        
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 44.66.010(a)(3) is amended to read:                                                               
05                 (3)  Board of Parole (AS 33.16.020) -- June 30, 2008 [2001];                                      
06    * Sec. 2.  The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to                         
07 read:                                                                                                                   
08       NONAPPLICABILITY OF AS 44.66.010(c).  The provisions of AS 44.66.010(c),                                          
09 authorizing continuance or reestablishment of a commission for not more than four years, do                             
10 not apply to the amendment of AS 44.66.010(a)(3) made by sec. 1 of this Act.                                            
11    * Sec. 3.  This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
