01 "An Act relating to disclosure of the use of state funds related to personnel                                           
02 records."                                                                                                               
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               
04    * Section 1.  AS 39.25.080 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                          
05  (f)  The confidentiality provision of (a) of this section does not prevent                                            
06 disclosure of the purpose for which state funds were used and the amount used for that                                  
07 purpose.  However, the actual amount a state employee receives as compensation in                                       
08 accordance with state law or a collective bargaining agreement is confidential.  The                                    
09 fact that a personnel action is taken in response to an expenditure of state funds does                                 
10 not make the expenditure itself confidential under (a) of this section.
