00 HOUSE BILL NO. 396                                                                                                    
01 "An Act relating to renting a motor vehicle."                                                                           
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               
03    * Section 1.  AS 28.35.024 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                          
04  (f)  A person may not refuse to rent a motor vehicle to another person if the                                         
05 refusal is solely because of the other person's age, the other person is 18 years of age                                
06 or older, and the other person has proof of compliance with the financial responsibility                                
07 requirements of AS 28.22 that includes coverage for damage to the rental motor                                          
08 vehicle.
