01 "An Act allowing licensed real estate brokers, associate real estate brokers, and                                       
02 real estate salespersons to prepare certain documents; and providing for an                                             
03 effective date."                                                                                                        
04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
05    * Section 1.  AS 08.88 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                   
06  Sec. 08.88.405.  PREPARATION OF DOCUMENTS.  Notwithstanding                                                           
07 AS 08.08, a person licensed as a real estate broker, associate real estate broker, or real                              
08 estate salesperson under this chapter may prepare deeds of trust, mortgages, real                                       
09 property contracts, earnest money agreements, leases, and other documents related to                                    
10 real property if the documents are prepared by the person in the course of the person's                                 
11 work as a licensed real estate broker, associate real estate broker, or real estate                                     
12 salesperson under this chapter.                                                                                         
13    * Sec. 2.  This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
