00 HOUSE BILL NO. 150                                                                                                      
01 "An Act relating to receipts for bail forfeited in satisfaction for certain offenses."                                  
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 04.21.065(i) is amended to read:                                                                    
04  (i)  When bail has been forfeited under (h) of this section, a judgment of                                            
05 conviction shall be entered.  Forfeiture of bail is a complete satisfaction for the                                     
06 violation. The clerk of the court accepting the bail shall provide the violator with a                                  
07 receipt stating that fact if requested.                                                                               
08    * Sec. 2.  AS 16.05.165(d) is amended to read:                                                                       
09  (d)  When bail has been forfeited under (c) of this section, a judgment of                                            
10 conviction shall be entered.  Forfeiture of bail and all seized items is a complete                                     
11 satisfaction for the misdemeanor.  The clerk of the court accepting the bail shall                                      
12 provide the offender with a receipt stating that fact if requested.                                                   
13    * Sec. 3.  AS 18.35.341(f) is amended to read:                                                                       
14  (f)  When bail has been forfeited under (e) of this section, a judgment of                                            
01 conviction shall be entered.  Forfeiture of bail is a complete satisfaction for the                                     
02 violation.  The clerk of the court accepting the bail shall provide the violator with a                                 
03 receipt stating that fact if requested.                                                                               
04    * Sec. 4.  AS 41.21.960(d) is amended to read:                                                                       
05  (d)  When bail has been forfeited under this section, a judgment of conviction                                        
06 shall be entered.  Bail forfeited under this section and the forfeiture of items seized                                 
07 from the offender is a complete satisfaction for the offense, and the clerk of the court                                
08 shall provide the offender with a receipt stating that fact if requested.                                             
09    * Sec. 5.  AS 45.75.133(c) is amended to read:                                                                       
10  (c)  When the cited person has forfeited bail under (b) of this section, the court                                    
11 shall enter a judgment of conviction. Forfeiture of bail is a complete satisfaction for                                 
12 the violation.  The clerk of the court accepting the bail forfeiture shall provide the                                  
13 offender with a receipt stating that fact if requested.
