00 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1                                                                                                 
01 Establishing a Senate Special Committee on Oil and Gas.                                                                 
02 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE:                                                                                           
03  WHEREAS the state's dependence on oil revenue requires that the Alaska State                                           
04 Legislature be well informed on all aspects related to the state's oil and gas resources;                               
05  BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate that a Senate Special Committee on Oil and Gas                                            
06 is established to study issues relating to oil and gas resources in the state; and be it                                
07  FURTHER RESOLVED that the president of the senate shall determine the number                                           
08 of senators to be members of the committee, and shall appoint the members and designate a                               
09 member to chair the committee; and be it                                                                                
10  FURTHER RESOLVED that the Senate Special Committee on Oil and Gas may meet                                             
11 during and between sessions of the Eighteenth Alaska State Legislature, and is terminated on                            
12 the convening of the First Session of the Nineteenth Alaska State Legislature.
