00 HOUSE BILL NO. 386 01 "An Act relating to the retirement rights of hourly employees hired by the 02 legislature." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. AS 24.10.060(e) is amended to read: 05  (e) The permanent interim committees of the legislature, the rules committees, 06 the president of the senate, or the speaker of the house of representatives, as 07 appropriate, may authorize the employment of hourly employees. Hourly employees 08 are subject to the salary schedule set out in AS 39.27.011. Hourly employees are not 09 entitled to receive retirement benefits or [AND GENERAL STATE LAWS 10 REGARDING RETIREMENT BUT ARE NOT ENTITLED TO RECEIVE] leave 11 benefits.
