00 HOUSE BILL NO. 260                                                                                                      
01 "An Act relating to the membership of the Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve                                            
02 Advisory Council."                                                                                                      
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 41.21.625(a) is amended to read:                                                                    
05  (a)  A 13-member [12-MEMBER] Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve                                                     
06 Advisory Council is established.  The members of the advisory council shall be                                          
07 selected under this section.                                                                                            
08    * Sec. 2.  AS 41.21.625(b) is amended to read:                                                                       
09  (b)  The governor shall appoint individuals to the Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle                                          
10 Preserve Advisory Council representing the following interests for a two-year term:                                     
11   (1)  two residents [A RESIDENT] of the Haines Borough                                                              
12   (A)  one representing a conservation organization; and                                                           
13   (B)  one who owns property within the boundaries of the                                                             
14 Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve;                                                                                    
01   (2)  a representative of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service; and                                            
02   (3)  a member of the Upper Lynn Canal fish and game advisory                                                         
03 committee.
