01 "An Act making a special appropriation for design and construction of power                                             
02 transmission interties between Anchorage and the Kenai Peninsula and between                                            
03 Healy and Fairbanks; and providing for an effective date."                                                              
04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
05    * Section 1.  The sum of $90,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund, Railbelt                                 
06 intertie reserve (sec. 159, ch. 208, SLA 1990), to the Alaska Energy Authority for design and                           
07 construction of a 138 kilovolt power transmission intertie between Anchorage and the Kenai                              
08 Peninsula and for design and construction of a 138 kilovolt power transmission intertie                                 
09 between Healy and Fairbanks.                                                                                            
10    * Sec. 2.  The appropriation made by this Act is for a capital project and lapses under                              
11 AS 37.25.020.                                                                                                           
12    * Sec. 3.  This Act takes effect on the effective date of an Act enacted by the Eighteenth                           
13 Alaska State Legislature that authorizes the Alaska Energy Authority to design and construct                            
14 power transmission interties between Anchorage and the Kenai Peninsula and between Healy
