Hearing none, the chairman asks what the pleasure of the committee is. Number 019 SENATOR MILLER makes a motion that SB 237 be released from the State Affairs Committee with individual recommendations. Number 106 MIKE MCMULLEN, Division of Personnel, Department of Administration (DOA), states the department supports SB 242, but would prefer to see the provisions in SB 242 implemented by regulation, not by law. DOA is concerned there would be expectations from the public that there would be increased services provided by the state, under SB 242. Number 130 SENATOR TAYLOR states he is in complete agreement with DOA, and so he recommends the bill be advanced to the Rules Committee and be held there.
