APPROVED FOR CALENDARING SENATE BILL NO. 183 "An Act relating to public interest litigants and to attorney fees; and amending Rule 82, Alaska Rules of Civil Procedure." APPROVED FOR CALENDARING SENATE BILL NO. 187 "An Act relating to absentee voting stations." ACTION NARRATIVE TAPE 01-7, SIDE A  CHAIRWOMAN DRUE PEARCE called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order at 10:55 a.m. Present were Senators Cowdery, Phillips, Ellis and Pearce. The committee had three bills to consider for calendaring. SENATOR PHILLIPS moved to calendar SB 178-DETENTION OF DELINQUENT  MINORS. There being no objection, the motion carried. SENATOR PHILLIPS moved to calendar SB 183-ATTORNEY FEES:  APPORTIONMENT/PUBLIC INT.LITIGANT. SENATOR ELLIS objected. The motion to calendar SB 183 carried with Senators Cowdery, Phillips and Pearce voting "yea," and Senator Ellis voting "nay." SENATOR COWDERY moved to calendar SB 187-ABSENTEE AND SPECIAL NEEDS  VOTING and asked for unanimous consent. There being no objection, the motion carried. CHAIRWOMAN PEARCE announced that Senator Therriault joined the committee. There being no further business to come before the committee, CHAIRWOMAN PEARCE adjourned the meeting at 10:57 a.m.
