ACTION NARRATIVE TAPE 99-3, SIDE A CHAIRMAN KELLY called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order at 1:35 p.m. Present were Senators Pearce, Leman, Miller, Ellis and Kelly, Chair. SENATOR LEMAN moved CSHB 100 (FIN)(brf sup maj fld)(efd fld)- SUPPLEMENTAL/CAPITAL APPROPS for calendaring. SENATOR ELLIS objected for the reasons that the bill could be in better shape, and because minority members have not been in possession of the Senate Finance Committee Substitute for 24 hours. A roll call vote was taken. The motion to calendar CSHB 100(FIN)(brf sup maj fld)(efd fld) carried with Senators Leman, Miller, Pearce and Kelly voting "yea," and Senator Ellis voting "nay." SENATOR LEMAN moved SJR 11-EDUCATION BLOCK GRANTS for calendaring. There being no objection, the motion carried. SENATOR LEMAN moved HB 73-MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION FEES for calendaring. There being no objection, the motion carried. There being no further business to come before the committee, CHAIRMAN KELLY adjourned the Senate Rules Committee meeting at 1:38 p.m.
