Co-Chair Larson concluded the Joint Senate and House Finance Committee hearing at 1:55 P.M. The House Finance Committee meeting was called to order at 2:05 P.M. Log # DISCUSSION HFC 8, Side 2 Co-Chair Larson called the House Finance discuss the Department of Administration, Department of Labor and the Department of Commerce and Economic Development FY95 budget overviews. with handouts (Copies on file) and discussed the increments and decrements as proposed by the Department of Administration. and Commissioner Usera regarding the proposed Department budget. of Labor and David Teal, Director, Division of Administrative Services, Department of Labor, provided the Committee with handouts (Copy on 2 file). Mr. Teal discussed the increments and decrements as proposed for FY95 budget overview. HFC 9, Side 1 Mr. Teal continued to discuss the handout provided #000-011 to the Committee regarding FY95 budget overviews. regarding the proposed changes from the FY94 budget. Commerce and Economic Development provided the Committee with two handouts (Copies on file) and proceeded to discuss overall requests within the Department. Fuhs concerns they had regarding the proposed increments and decrements to the Department's proposed FY95 budget. The Budget Overview session concluded at 3:25 P.M. SENATE BILL 19 "An Act relating to the crime of conspiracy." Representative Brown distributed Amendment #3, #8-LS0246\K.8 dated 1/20/94. The amendment would propose a new Subsection E which would provide a safeguard to protect those who were merely present at the scene of a crime. Representative Hanley thought the proposed amendment would negate the previously defeated Amendment #2. Discussion followed amongst the Committee members. and further clarification was requested from the Department of Law. SB 19 was HELD in Committee for further discussion.
