MINUTES  CONFERENCE COMMITTEE  HB 365 / HB 366  April 29, 2006  12:34 p.m.    CALL TO ORDER  Chair Gary Wilken convened the meeting at approximately 12:34:45 PM. SUMMARY INFORMATION  HB 365-APPROP: OPERATING BUDGET/LOANS/FUNDS HB 366-APPROP: MENTAL HEALTH BUDGET The Committee reached agreements on items subject to conference for the Department of Administration, the Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development, the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and the Department of Law. The bill was held in Committee. 12:34:50 PM CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 365(FIN) am(brf sup maj fld) "An Act making appropriations for the operating and loan program expenses of state government, for certain programs, and to capitalize funds; making appropriations for state aid to public schools, centralized correspondence study, and transportation of pupils; and providing for an effective date." SENATE CS FOR CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 365(FIN)(brf sup maj fld S) "An Act making appropriations for the operating and loan program expenses of state government, for certain programs, and to capitalize funds; making appropriations for state aid to public schools, centralized correspondence study, and transportation of pupils; and providing for an effective date." SENATE CS FOR CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 366(FIN) "An Act making appropriations for the operating and capital expenses of the state's integrated comprehensive mental health program; and providing for an effective date." This was the third hearing of the Conference Committee on HB 365 and HB 366. [NOTE: "Motion Sheets" detailing the Budget Request Units (BRU), referred to as "items" in Committee discussions, are on file.] 12:35:33 PM Department of Administration No action was taken on Items 1, 9, 10, 11, and 12 at this time. 12:35:37 PM Representative Chenault offered a motion to adopt the Senate versions of Items 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8, and the House of Representatives version of Item 4. There was no objection and the indicated amounts were ADOPTED. 12:36:48 PM Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development No action was taken on Items 3 through 11, 13 and 14 at this time. Representative Chenault offered a motion to adopt the Senate version of Items 1, 2, 12, 15, 16, 19 and 20, and the House of Representatives version of Items 18, 21 and 22. There was no objection and the indicated amounts were ADOPTED. 12:38:48 PM Department of Labor and Workforce Development No action was taken on Items 2, 9 - 18, 20, 21 and 24 at this time. Representative Chenault offered a motion to adopt the Senate version of Items 1, 4, 8, 19 and 22, the House of Representatives version of Items 6, 7 and 23, the House of Representatives version of Item 3 less $50,000, and the House of Representatives version of Item 5 less $50,000. There was no objection and the indicated amounts were ADOPTED. 12:41:08 PM Department of Law Representative Chenault offered a motion to adopt the Senate version of Items 1, 3, 7 and 8, and the House of Representatives version of Items 2, 4 through 6 and 9. There was no objection and the indicated amounts were ADOPTED. This concluded action on the items subject to conference for the Department of Law.
