SENATOR TAYLOR returned SB 58 (PHASE OUT LONGEVITY BONUS) to committee and explained the provisions of the bill. SENATOR HALFORD said it was not an easy solution. SENATOR LITTLE said her district was split on the issue, and she was having difficulty in making her decision. Number 254 SENATOR JACKO indicated he had a similar situation in his district. There was a short discussion on this fifty/fifty split in everyone's district on the phase-out of the bonus, and SENATOR TAYLOR decided to send the bill on to the Finance Committee. SENATOR JACKO move to pass SENATE BILL NO. 58 from committee with individual recommendations. Without objections, so ordered.
