CO-CHAIR FIELDS announced  that the next order  of business would                                                               
be HOUSE CONCURRENT  RESOLUTION NO. 4, Proposing  an amendment to                                                               
the Uniform  Rules of  the Alaska  State Legislature  relating to                                                               
the membership of the Committee on Committees.

CO-CHAIR KREISS-TOMKINS  presented HCR 4,  as prime sponsor.   He                                                               
relayed  that the  legislature's  Uniform Rules  state that  both                                                               
bodies of  the legislature  - the  House and  the Senate  - shall                                                               
have five members on the  Committee on Committees; since 1993 the                                                               
House has  had seven members; therefore,  the proposed resolution                                                               
would conform the Uniform Rules to  what the House has been doing                                                               
for the past two decades.                                                                                                       
                                                                                                                                
CO-CHAIR FIELDS stated that HCR 4 would be held over.
