CHAIRMAN RANDY PHILLIPS called the Senate Rules Committee meeting
to order at 7:05 p.m. All members were present. The committee
took up SCS CSHB 3001(JUD)-REGULATORY COM. OF ALASKA: SUNSET &
MISC.
SENATOR HALFORD moved to calendar SCS HB 3001(JUD) and its
accompanying fiscal note.
CHAIRMAN PHILLIPS announced that without objection, the motion
carried.
SENATOR THERRIAULT noted for the record that, according to the
legal drafter, the ex parte provision only applies to the quasi-
judicial actions taken by the Regulatory Commission of Alaska
(RCA) and not to its internal rule making activities.
There being no further business to come before the committee,
CHAIRMAN PHILLIPS adjourned the meeting.
