CHAIRMAN RANDY PHILLIPS called the Senate Rules Committee meeting
to order at 11:07 a.m. Senators Cowdery, Halford, Therriault and
Phillips were present.
SENATOR HALFORD moved to calendar SB 180-STATE EMPLOYEE PAY
DIFFERENTIALS at the Chairman's discretion.
CHAIRMAN PHILLIPS announced that Senator Donley's staff was
present to answer questions.
There being no questions or objection, the motion to calendar SB
180 carried.
SENATOR HALFORD moved to calendar SB 215-COMMON CARRIER LIQUOR
LICENSE at the Chairman's discretion and asked for unanimous
consent.
There being no objections, CHAIRMAN PHILLIPS announced the
Finance version would be calendared.
CHAIRMAN PHILLIPS announced the presence of Senator Ellis.
SENATOR HALFORD moved to calendar SCR 29-HIRING FREEZE at the
Chairman's discretion.
SENATOR ELLIS objected.
CHAIRMAN PHILLIPS announced that the motion to calendar SCR 29
carried with Senators Halford, Cowdery, Therriault and Phillips
in favor, and Senator Ellis opposed.
SENATOR HALFORD moved to calendar SJR 37-CONST AM: HIRING FREEZE
at the Chairman's discretion.
SENATOR ELLIS objected.
CHAIRMAN PHILLIPS announced that the motion to calendar SJR 37
carried with Senators Halford, Cowdery, Therriault and Phillips
in favor, and Senator Ellis opposed.
SENATOR HALFORD moved to calendar SJR 38-CONST AM: PRIORITY OF
EXPENDITURES at the Chairman's discretion.
SENATOR ELLIS objected.
CHAIRMAN PHILLIPS announced that the motion to calendar SJR 38
carried with Senators Halford, Cowdery, Therriault and Phillips
in favor, and Senator Ellis opposed.
There being no further business to come before the committee,
CHAIRMAN PHILLIPS adjourned the meeting at 11:12 a.m.
