CHAIRWOMAN DRUE PEARCE called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to
order at 4:40 p.m. Senators Cowdery, Phillips, Ellis and Pearce
were present.
CHAIRWOMAN PEARCE announced that the Senate HESS Committee adopted
a committee substitute for HB 113-HEALTH CARE INSURANCE PAYMENTS
and that it has two zero fiscal notes.
SENATOR COWDERY moved to calendar SCS CSHB 113(HES).
SENATOR PHILLIPS moved to abstain from voting because of the
appearance of a conflict of interest. There being no objection,
Senator Phillips was excused from voting.
CHAIRWOMAN PEARCE announced with four positive votes to calendar
SCS CSHB 113(HES), the motion carried.
SENATOR COWDERY moved to calendar SSHB 120am-CRIME PREVENTION &
PRIVACY COMPACT. There being no objection, the motion carried.
SENATOR COWDERY moved to calendar CSHB 121(L&C)-QUALIFIED
CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITIES. There being no objection, the motion
carried.
SENATOR COWDERY moved to calendar CSHB 154(FSH) - FISHERY BUS.

SENATOR THERRIAULT moved to abstain from voting because a family
member is a Kantishna shareholder.
CHAIRWOMAN PEARCE announced that a member can abstain from voting
in committee.
SENATOR COWDERY moved to calendar SCS CSHB 244(RES).
SENATOR ELLIS objected.
The motion carried with Senators Cowdery, Phillips and Pearce
voting "yea," and Senator Ellis voting "nay."
CHAIRWOMAN PEARCE announced that the Senate Judiciary Committee
adopted a committee substitute for HCR 17.
SENATOR ELLIS moved to calendar SCS CSHCR 17(JUD)-SALE OF NATURAL
GAS TO POWER DATA CENTERS. There being no objection, the motion
carried.
There being no further business to come before the committee,
CHAIRWOMAN PEARCE recessed the meeting to a call of the Chair.
