CHAIRMAN DRUE PEARCE called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to
order at 10:50 a.m. Present were Senators Phillips, Therriault and
Pearce.
CHAIR PEARCE noted that Senator Austerman, prime sponsor of SJR 10,
was available to answer questions.
There being no questions, SENATOR PHILLIPS moved SJR 10-US COAST
GUARD FUNDING for calendaring. There being no objection, CHAIR
PEARCE announced that SJR 10 will be calendared.
SENATOR PHILLIPS moved to calendar SB 21-FINES BY THE STATE MEDICAL
BOARD. There being no objection, the motion carried.
CHAIR PEARCE announced that SB 80-APPROP: SPECIAL OLYMPICS was
before the committee for calendaring.
SENATOR THERRIAULT asked about the changes made in CSSB 80(FIN).
CHAIR PEARCE explained that the Senate Finance Committee added
language saying the unexpended portion of the appropriation will
lapse.
SENATOR THERRIAULT moved to approve SB 80 for calendaring. There
being no objection, the motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the committee,
CHAIR PEARCE adjourned the meeting at 10:52 a.m.
