Ellis and Pearce. Senator Cowdery was excused for medical reasons.
The first order of business to come before the committee was HJR 6.
SENATOR PHILLIPS moved to calendar HJR 6-ROADLESS POLICY for floor
action. He informed the committee that he plans to offer an
amendment on the Senate floor that will replace the words "several
million" on page 3, line 5, with "4 million," and delete the word
"illegal" on page 3, line 25. He noted the $4 million figure came
from Congressman Young's office.
SENATOR ELLIS objected. The motion to calendar HJR 6 carried with
Senators Phillips, Therriault and Pearce voting "yea," and Senator
Ellis voting "nay."
The next order of business to come before the committee was SB 52-
TERMINATION OF STATE PHYS THERAPY BOARD.
There being no discussion or questions, SENATOR THERRIAULT moved to
calendar SB 52 with its accompanying zero fiscal note.
Hearing no objection, CHAIR PEARCE announced SB 52 was approved for
calendaring.
The last order of business was HB 44.
There being no discussion or questions, SENATOR PHILLIPS moved to
calendar HB 44-JOE REDINGTON SR. MEMORIAL TRAIL. There being no
objection, the motion carried.
