CHAIRMAN KELLY called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order
at 11:22 a.m. All members were present.
SB 162-RULE AGAINST PERPETUITIES
SB 166-COMMUNITY PROPERTY AGREEMENT/TRUSTS
CHAIRMAN KELLY announced that SB 162 and SB 166 were held during
the interim in case any opposition emerged. No opposition to
either bill was expressed. According to Senator Taylor, chairman
of the Senate Judiciary Committee, SB 162 and SB 166 are designed
to strengthen Alaska trust law.
VICE-CHAIR LEMAN moved to report all versions of SB 162 and SB 166
for calendaring. There being no objection, the motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Senate Rules
Committee, CHAIRMAN KELLY adjourned the meeting at 11:23 a.m.
