CHAIRMAN KELLY called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order
at 12:42 p.m. Present were Senators Pearce, Leman, Miller, and
Kelly.
SENATOR PEARCE moved to adopt CSSB 29(RLS), (Lauterbach, version
K). There being no objection, the motion carried.
SENATOR PEARCE moved to calendar CSSB 29(RLS)-REQUIREMENTS FOR
PHYSICIAN'S LICENSE. There being no objection, the motion carried.
SENATOR PEARCE moved to adopt CSSB 71(RLS), (Lauterbach, version
I). There being no objection, the motion carried.
SENATOR PEARCE moved to calendar CSSB 71(RLS)-PHYSICIAN LICENSURE
CHANGES. There being no objection, the motion carried.
CHAIRMAN KELLY informed committee members that a proposed Senate
Rules Committee substitute (version Z) had been prepared for CSHB
64(FIN)(title am) that makes three changes. First, it reinserts
funds to accomplish the Cook Inlet Pretrial Central Control System
replacement that had been removed at Senator Wilken's request in
the Senate Finance Committee. Senator Wilken since reconsidered
the request for those funds and decided that project should be
completed therefore funding has been included. The second change
adds $724,000 for the University of Alaska to cover some, but not
all, of the projects on the University's "B" priority list. Third,
the proposed committee substitute includes $492,700 for the Alaska
Legislative Council.
SENATOR PEARCE moved to adopt SCS CSHB 64(RLS). There being no
objection, the motion carried.
SENATOR PEARCE moved to calendar SCS CSHB 64(RLS)-APPROPRIATIONS
FOR Y2K & CORRECTIONS. There being no objection, the motion
carried.
There being no further business to come before the committee,
CHAIRMAN KELLY adjourned the meeting.
