"An Act relating to living wills, do not resuscitate orders,
anatomical gifts, and the care and treatment of persons with
serious medical conditions."

ACTION NARRATIVE

CHAIRMAN KELLY called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order
at 1:05 p.m., and noted the presence of Senators Duncan, Taylor,
Leman, Torgerson and Kelly.
CHAIRMAN KELLY brought SCR 25 - APPEAL OF MARRIAGE DECISION before
the committee and directed attention to a proposed amendment to the
legislation. It is a technical change required to make the title
consistent with the body of the resolution, in accordance with an
amendment to SCR 25 adopted by the Senate Judiciary Committee.
SENATOR LEMAN moved the adoption of the following amendment to be
incorporated into a Rules CS and that CSSCR 25(RLS) be approved for
calendaring at the discretion of the Chair.
Amendment No. 1
Page 1, line 1: Delete "and an expeditious decision on the appeal"
Hearing no objection, CHAIRMAN KELLY stated the motion carried.
CHAIRMAN KELLY brought SB 291 - LIV. WILLS/ANATOMICAL GIFTS/PATIENT
CARE before the committee as the final order of business.
SENATOR TAYLOR moved and asked unanimous consent SB 291 be approved
for calendaring at the discretion of the Chair. Hearing no
objection, it was so ordered.
There being no further business to come before the committee, the
meeting adjourned at 1:07 p.m.
