POSITION STATEMENT: Present to respond to questions on SB 67
ACTION NARRATIVE
TAPE 97-2, SIDE A
CHAIRMAN KELLY called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order
at 10:50 a.m. He brought SB 67 (TRUTH IN SENTENCING) before the
committee as the only order of business.
B RETT HUBER , staff to Senator Rick Halford who is prime sponsor of
SB 67, confirmed that by passage of the legislation, the state of
Alaska will be entitled to receive $650,000 from the federal
government.
SENATOR LEMAN moved and asked unanimous consent SB 67 be approved
for calendaring at the discretion of the Chair. Hearing no
objection, it was so ordered.
There being no further business to come before the committee, the
meeting adjourned at 10:51 a.m.
