CHAIRMAN HALFORD brought CSHB 323(JUD) am (RELEASE OF CERTAIN DEATH TH
CERT. INFO), which had been returned to the Rules Committee from
the Senate floor, before the committee as the next order of
business.
He suggested deleting the language found in two places in the bill
"whose death was caused by induced abortion" so that it doesn't
deal with tissue or other parts of a human fetus. That amendment
had been moved by Senator Salo on the Senate floor, but was
defeated. He said the easiest way to handle it would be to remove
that language from the State Affairs SCS and adopt a Rules SCS.
SENATOR JACKO moved that on page 2, lines 2 & 3, and page 2, lines
10 & 11, delete "whose death was caused by an induced abortion."
Hearing no objection, the Chairman stated the amendment was adopted
and would be incorporated as a Rules SCS.
SENATOR RIEGER moved that SCS CSHB 323(RLS) be passed out of
committee with individual recommendations. Hearing no objection,
it was so ordered.
SENATOR RIEGER moved and asked unanimous consent that SCS CSHB

There being no further business to come before the committee, the
