"An Act clarifying powers and duties of state officials in
relation to a disaster emergency caused by a catastrophic
oil discharge or the release of a hazardous substance."

The Senate Rules Committee was called to order by Chairman
Jacko at 3:12 p.m.
CHAIRMAN JACKO introduced HJR 25 (IMPLEMENTING ALEUTIAN
TRADE ACT OF 1990) as the first order of business. He noted
the presence of Representative Carl Moses, prime sponsor of
HJR 25.
SENATOR HALFORD moved and asked unanimous consent that HJR
25 be approved for calendaring at the Chair's discretion.
Hearing no objection, it was so ordered.
CHAIRMAN JACKO introduced SB 49 (YEAR-END CAMPAIGN FINANCE
REPORTS) as the next order of business.
There was brief discussion on the $250 minimum reporting
requirement and if it should be raised to $500, but it was
agreed to go ahead and approve the bill for calendaring.
SENATOR HALFORD moved and asked unanimous consent that SB 49
be approved for calendaring at the Chair's discretion.
Hearing no objection, it was so ordered.
CHAIRMAN JACKO brought SB 90 (DECLARATION OF DISASTER
EMERGENCIES) before the committee as the final order of
business. He noted Annette Kreitze, staff to Senator Leman,
was present to respond to questions.
SENATOR HALFORD moved and asked unanimous consent that SB 90
be approved for calendaring at the Chair's discretion.
Hearing no objection, it was so ordered.
There being no further business to come before the
committee, the meeting was adjourned at 3:18 p.m.
