SENATOR KELLY called the Senate Labor and Commerce meeting
to order at 2:15 p.m. and announced the first order of
business would be a confirmation hearing on the Governor's
appointees to the Alaska State Board of Public Accountancy.
There were no stated objections to confirming Charles
Griffin, Jean B. Schmitt and Bradley L. Shaffer to seats on
the board.
SENATOR KELLY announced SB 195 (PHYSICAL/OCCUPATIONAL
THERAPY BOARDS EXT.) to be up for consideration.
SENATOR RIEGER moved to pass SB 195 from committee with
individual recommendations. There were no objections and it
was so ordered.

BRIAN ROGERS, Vice President for Finance, University of
Alaska, explained the appropriation in HB 158.
SENATOR KELLY said it is his intention to move this bill on
to the Finance Committee when the intent language was
drafted and approved.
SENATOR KELLY adjourned the meeting at 2:25 p.m.
