ACTION NARRATIVE
CHAIR BETTYE DAVIS called the Senate Health, Education and
Social Services Standing Committee meeting to order at 1:37:03
PM. Present at the call to order were Senators Elton, Thomas,
and Chair Davis.
HJR 23-REUSE GALENA AIR BASE
CHAIR DAVIS announced the consideration of HJR 23.
1:37:40 PM
KELLY HUBER, staff to Representative Dahlstrom, sponsor of HJR
23, said that the committee had heard an identical resolution a
few days prior. HJR 23 supports the city and school district of
Galena in its re-use plan for the nearby air force base when it
closes in October 2008.
CHAIR DAVIS said that there was no one to testify and asked for
the will of the committee.
SENATOR THOMAS made a motion to move HJR 23 from committee with
individual recommendations and attached fiscal note(s). There
being no objection, the motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the committee,
Chair Davis adjourned the meeting at 1:39:23 PM.
