 CHAIRMAN RIEGER called the Senate Health, Education and Social                
 Services (HESS) Committee to order at 5:00 p.m.  He brought  CSHB
(L&C)  (HEALTH CARE PAYMENTS & HIGH RISK INS) before the                   
 committee and directed attention to a proposed HES SCS.  The                  
 committee substitute includes the contents of the original version            
 of SB 313 (HEALTH CARE: INSURANCE;DATA;PRICES) which moved out of             
 the HES Committee on 3/21/94.

 SENATOR MILLER moved the adoption of SCS CSHB 538(HES), version 8-            
 LS1830\J.  Hearing no objection, the motion carried.

 There being no questions on the legislation, CHAIRMAN RIEGER asked            
 for the pleasure of the committee.                                            
                                                                               
 SENATOR MILLER moved that SCS CSHB 538(HES) be passed out of                  
 committee with individual recommendations.  Hearing no objection,             
 it was so ordered.
